NARAROVA OGULGEREK, a student from the Academy of Korean Studies, who participated in this event said: "I wanted to visit the DMZ, the starting point of the inter-Korean division, after watching the recent inter-Korean summit talks. I think that the efforts of both countries are necessary for mutual growth in the future."
In addition, Maggie Yang, a student studying at Korea University said: “This time I learned Korean history from my heart whereas last time I tasted Korean culture while making Korean food. I would like to thank the POSCO TJ Park Foundation for providing such a valuable program to scholarship students.”
The POSCO TJ Park Foundation is supporting 120 young Asian talented students on an annual basis to complete master’s programs or doctoral programs at leading graduate schools in Korea. To help them understand Korean culture and promote mutual exchange between students, the POSCO TJ Park Foundation is also providing various networking programs.
After returning to their homelands after graduation, the scholarship students are actively working as leaders in government offices, academic world and industries, and POSCO alumni reunions are in active operation in 10 countries including Vietnam and Indonesia.
