POSCO TJ Park Foundation successfully completed the seminar

POSCO TJ Park Foundation successfully completed the seminar series “Restart 21, Future Society and Humans” with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Germany.
About 130 officials and students from 18 countries around the world participated in the seminar, including Kim Sun-uk, chairperson of the POSCO TJ Park Foundation, Christian Taaks, Head representative of the Korean office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, international students from Asian countries(Master’s and Ph.D), students in Asian countries, Korean fellows form Pohang and Gwangyang, and German students studying in Korea.
This seminar was held three times on September 9, September 23, and October 9 under the themes as follows : 1) Future of the Post-COVID-19-Era ; 2) Future Economy and Enterprise : POSCO’s EGS Management ; and 3) Coexistence with Robots : Future, Technology and Humans.
Since the seminar was held both online and offline, it was a great opportunity for both students in Korea as well as students from Asian countries to share their opinions and thoughts. It is meaningful in that the seminar was the first program conducted by the POSCO TJ Park Foundation in collaboration with another foundation.
In the final welcoming speech of the seminar, Kim Sun-uk, chairperson of the POSCO TJ Park Foundation, said, “I am very pleased that this seminar will serve as a great opportunity for students from various countries to gather wisdom, and I hope that they will grow into a leader who can practice the wisdom gained through empathy and communication in their places and lead future.”
Meanwhile, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation is a German non-profit civic education institution that has offices in 35 countries and is active in more than 65 countries. Since opening the Korea office in 1987, the foundation has been operating civic education programs on various themes such as smart city, digital era transition, and reunification.
