POSCO TJ Park Foundation held the regular board meeting at POSCO Center on November 20 and appointed Kim Sun-Wook, former president of Ehwa Women's University (picture) as the 5th chairman.

 

Since founded in 2005, the chairman of POSCO has taken the chairman's office of POSCO TJ Park Foundation but this time, the outside person was appointed as chairman for the first time to reinforce the specialty of foundation management and the public interest.

 

As a current director of POSCO TJ Park Foundation, newly appointed chairman Kim Sun-Wook not only understand the spirit of POSCO and the foundation well but also is expected as a competent person to lead the change and the future of foundation based on the experience in diverse areas such as △ Minister of Government Legislation, △ chairman of Policy Advisory Committee of National Human Rights Commission of Korea, △ president of Ehwa Women's University, etc.

 

Presenting the vision 'Win POSCO', Choi Jung-Woo, the chairman of POSCO, has announced since inauguration that POSCO TJ Park Foundation also will concentrate on the creation of social value as a main social contribution agent of corporate citizen POSCO. According to that, POSCO TJ Park Foundation has a plan to develop the foundation as "Fulbright Fellowships" in Asia such as reorganizing the projects, developing social participation programs, etc. in order to conform with the new vision of POSCO after inauguration of new chairman.
