Asian students studying on scholarship in Korean, Fell in love with Korean charm ~

Asian students studying on POSCO TJ Park Foundation's Asia Fellowship Scholarship in Korea visited Changdeok Palace on May 26 and spent time to learn Korean history and tradition.
The event was held to help Asian Fellows (scholarship students) expand their experiences in Korean culture and society through activities such as visiting historic sites, cultural experiences and so on, while studying in Korea. The scholarship students look around Changdeok Palace listed as World Heritage by the UNESCO and took commemorative photographs in Hanbok, making unforgettable memories in Korea.

Kunjang (a student from Yonsei University), who participated in the event, said: “It was a meaningful experience. We could learn the beauty and value of Changdeokgung. I was able to share the culture and history of Asian countries as well as Korea through exchange with fellow scholarship students.
POSCO TJ Park Foundation supports 30 Asian young talent every year to take the master's and doctoral programs at top-notch graduate schools such as Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Korea University, and KDI School in Korea and provides a variety of networking programs to help them learn about Korean culture and to promote mutual exchange among scholarship students.
Furthermore, the foundation provides support so that they participate in workshops for one night and two days at Pohang and Gwangyang steelmill while studying in Korea to learn about Korean culture and promote a sense of community between scholarship students. The foundation also provides a gathering of graduates, “For Friends” program with POSCO’s college students brand Ambassador so that scholarship students orient themselves to studying abroad in Korea.
Meanwhile, POSCO TJ Park Foundation plans to expand networking with scholarship students by operating a community of POSCO Asian Fellows who have returned to their home countries, such as Vietnam, Indonesia, China, and India, after finishing programs in Korea.
