POSCO TJ Park Foundation Confers Certificates for Scholarship for Asian Universities

The Posco TJ Park Foundation visited three top universities in Mongolia and the Philippines on May 10th to award the Scholarship for Asian Universities.
The Scholarship for Asian Universities is a scholarship program from the Posco TJ Park Foundation which supports students of the very best universities in Asian countries with scholarship funds to promote exchange and cooperation between Korea and other Asian countries.
The Posco TJ Park Foundation visited three top universities in Mongolia and the Philippines to award the Scholarship for Asian Universities. The conferment ceremony for scholarships for the National University of Mongolia and Mongolian University of Science and Technology was held on May 10th and attended by some 50 people including Oh Song-ju, Korean ambassador to Mongolia; Baterdene, President of the National University of Mongolia; Enkhjargal, Vice-President of the Mongolia University of Science and Technology; and Yang Jae-un, Executive Director of POSCO TJ Park Foundation .
Baterdene, president of the National University of Mongolia, thanked the Foundation, saying that the Posco TJ Park Foundation's cooperation for the past 11 years had greatly contributed to friendship and goodwill between the two countries. He added that each year many students hoped to be selected as Posco TJ Park Foundation scholarship students, expressing thanks to the Foundation.
Yang Jae-un, executive director of POSCO TJ Park Foundation, said, “I hope promising Mongolian students will develop further thanks to the Foundation’s support and participate in the scholarship program for Master's students in Korea in the future as well.”
Oh Song-ju, Korean ambassador to Mongolia, expressed congratulations, adding, “POSCO played a crucial role in Korea’s economic development and I hope that you students will likewise play a leading role in the Mongolian economy and national development.”
The POSCO TJ Park Foundation awarded scholarships at the University of the Philippines on May 12th. The event’s 30 attendees included Benito, Vice-President of the University of the Philippines; Choi Hyeong-sik, POSCO-PMPC president; Seong Nak-yeon, POSCO TJ Park Foundation secretary-general.
The Posco TJ Park Foundation plans to award scholarship funds to 304 students from 25 universities in 15 countries, including Mongolia and the Philippines, this year to further contribute to fostering Asian talent.
