The POSCO TJ Park Foundation held the 2026 POSCO Overseas Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony at the POSCO Center in Seoul on July 20, presenting scholarship certificates to two students who will pursue Ph.D. studies at leading universities abroad.
The POSCO Overseas Scholarship is a newly established program designed to enable outstanding Korean students to pursue advanced research at overseas universities without financial burden. The Foundation launched the program this year to foster world-class researchers who will contribute to strengthening global competitiveness in science, technology, and knowledge.
Recipients were selected through a comprehensive evaluation process, including document screening and interviews, based on their research capabilities, academic achievements, research proposals, and future potential.
The 2026 scholarship recipients are Leejun Noh, who will pursue a Ph.D. at Stanford University, and Dongwoong Seo, who will pursue a Ph.D. at the Paris School of Economics. The Foundation will provide financial support for up to five years, allowing the scholars to focus fully on their academic and research endeavors.
