Workshop of POSCO TJ Park Foundation’s board members was held in Songdo

 

- First workshop since new chairman assumed office

- Enhance understanding of development and history of POSCO Group projects in Songdo area

 

On June 14, the first workshop of POSCO TJ Park Foundation’s board members since

the inauguration of the new chairman was held in Inchoen Songdo,

an international city that aims for a future smart city, where major POSCO group

companies are located.

 

 

The workshop is held every year at different major business sites of POSCO Group

to enhance understanding of POSCO Group and strengthen communication between

board members. This time, they visited Incheon City’s History museum and G Tower around

Central Park, which is in the center of Songdo International City ;

R & D center that provides technical solutions for POSCO steel products ;

and POSCO Group Learning Center that is dedicated to group education

in the metropolitan area.

 

At the meeting, Kim Seok-tae, the representative of Songdo PMC

made a presentation over the development and the role of POSCO Group in Songdo area,

and report made on the result of 2019 POSCO TJ Park Prize and plans for 2020 TJ Park Prize.

Board members expressed surprise about the development of Songdo and showed

great interest in R&D development of POSCO and the new education facilities built in Songdo.

 

 

Nine board members attended workshop, including Kim Sun-uk, the chairman of POSCO TJ Park

Foundation, Han Jun-ho, the chairman of Samchully, Kim, Do-yeon, the president of POSTECH.

POSCO TJ Park Foundation plans to enhance the awareness about POSCO's progress and

POSCO’s role in the local community among various opinion leaders by enriching these activities.
