To support a stable academic environment for high school students in the Pohang and Gwangyang regions, the POSCO TJ Park Foundation selected 228 students as recipients of the 2025 POSCO Lighthouse Scholarship. Certificate award ceremonies were held at Hyoja Art Hall in Pohang on July 28 and at the Gwangyang Culture & Arts Center on July 29.

The selected scholars are outstanding and well-behaved students in grades 10 to 12 from 37 high schools across the Pohang and Gwangyang regions. They were chosen based on their academic performance and character. With annual evaluations, recipients may receive scholarship benefits for up to three years.
The ceremonies, held over two days, were attended by parents as well as officials from local city governments and education offices. In addition to the scholarship awards, the POSCO TJ Park Foundation provided a special guest lecture to inspire students' career development, along with vouchers for premium college admission mentoring programs.
Founded in 1971 as the POSCO Scholarship Foundation, the POSCO TJ Park Foundation has continued for over half a century to help Korea’s future talent pursue their dreams regardless of financial circumstances, through a variety of scholarship initiatives.
