The POSCO TJ Park Foundation has selected 19 students as the 2026 POSCO Global Scholarship in Korea recipients following a three-month selection process. Launched in 2005, the POSCO Global Scholarship in Korea is a flagship global scholarship program that provides full tuition and monthly living expenses to outstanding international students pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees at graduate schools in Korea. Over the past two decades, a total of 532 students have continued their academic and research endeavors in Korea through this program, with cumulative support amounting to approximately KRW 22.8 billion.

The 2026 selection is particularly significant as it expands the eligible countries beyond its previous Asia-focused scope to a total of 27 countries worldwide. The newly selected scholars come from a diverse range of regions, including Europe and North America—such as Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom—as well as Latin America, including Brazil, and various Asian countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia. With diverse cultural and academic backgrounds, the scholars will pursue advanced studies and research at leading graduate schools in Korea, building expertise in their respective fields.
