Achievement
Kumoh Technical High School (located in Gumi, Gyeongbuk) was founded in 1973 as the biggest cutting-edge technical high school in the east as Korea began industrialization and has been a source of industrial development for 43 years and graduated about 15,000 students in the fields of mechanical and precision industry,
fostering excellent industry technology to contribute to national modernization.

1000 students have won medals at Korean and international technology events including the TechOlympics, enhancing national prestige, while 8000 students have advanced into the RNTC (Reserve Non-Commissioned Officer's Training Corps) to modernize military equipment, greatly contributing to independent national defense. It endured a recession when students preferring higher education turned away from technical schools in the 1990s, but made a second start in fostering technical leaders combining theory and practice while starting as a Meister School for industrial talent in 2010.

It introduced a dual education system including classroom studies and work on industrial sites and Korea's first non-graded projects. Through its 7-track customized career path system suited for students' aptitudes and talents and practical on-site education, it has achieved a 95% employment rate 3 years running, a successful Meister School model.
