Achievement
“Professor Eun-jun Kim is a leading expert in brain science,
investigated the principle of synapse formation of cerebral nerves,
and is leading the research on the relationship
between synapse proteins and cerebral nerve diseases.”

Professor Kim paid attention to synapse as a cause of cerebral mental illness and focused on researching synapse proteins, closely related to cerebral illnesses. Through his research, he discovered the core mechanism, laying the groundwork in understanding the principles for the outbreak of cerebral illnesses and developing new treatments.

Through synapse research, in 2011, Professor Kim discovered that ADHD is caused by the lack of GIT1, a cerebral nerve synapse, and in 2012, he investigated the cause of autism and developed a new method of treatment that reduced medicinal side effects.
