Achievement
Young-Do Park, the principal of Suwonjeil Lifelong School, has been an educator who has provided a second chance for low-literacy adults who missed out on learning opportunities with youth outside of school for over 40 years since his university days in the 1980s.

Since assuming the position of principal at Suwonjeil Lifelong School in 1996, he has graduated over 3,500 disadvantaged youth, elderly adult learners, multicultural individuals, and people with disabilities who missed out on learning opportunities. He has shouldered the burden of approximately 600 million won from his own pocket to supplement the insufficient school operating expenses and has been operating lifelong education programs for free. Additionally, he has adapted the lifelong education direction to digital education, presenting a vision of 'learning communities, communities of life' where digitally marginalized groups are not neglected and are actively engaging in educational activities accordingly.
