On April 9, 2021, the POSCO TJ Park Foundation held an orientation along with a certificate presentation ceremony for students who started the program in the spring semester. This day’s ceremony also included a Korean cultural experience event to cheer up the students who were worn out from the effects of Corona.

Oh Dong-ho, the executive director of the foundation, presented the scholarship certificate with the following words of encouragement and congratulations, "I hope the dreams and goals of scholarship students will be achieved through the POSCO Asia Fellowship." In addition to the certificate presentation, this day’s ceremony also included an introduction of the POSCO TJ Park Foundation and POSCO, a guide on the scholarship conditions, and a question-and-answer session held in real-time. "I didn't feel like I was in Korea because of the non-face-to-face classes that were held at Yonsei University. Attending the certificate ceremony and meeting other scholarship students in person was wonderful" said Jittima, a student at Yonsei University. "I hope I can visit the steel mill as soon as Corona subsides."

After the completion of the certificate ceremony, the students made a mother-of-pearl jewelry box as part of the Korean cultural experience activity, and toured the aquarium, and the art museum in the POSCO Center, where they watched "Living as an Artist." These activities drew a great response from the scholarship students who said that their hearts which had been exhausted by Corona had become refreshed.

The POSCO TJ Park Foundation supports 50 outstanding young Asian students every year to complete masters and doctorate programs at leading graduate schools in Korea, including Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Korea University, and KDI School. Various scholarship networking programs are implemented to promote understanding of Korean culture and mutual exchange among scholarship students.
